Altered things

I joined a swap at SSReflections, altering a puzzle piece in a vintage theme. Here's my piece:

I painted with gesso (wonderful stuff), and acrylic paints, used pages from an old hymnal I bought last weekend, an image from Altered Pages, and the bead I made with UTEE, a melting pot, and a red Sharpie marker. Add some words (from the same hymn book) and a few brads with the stems plucked off, and voila! I was kind of surprised (pleasantly) at how it turned out. I didn't know I could do vintage.

Great job. I'm working on a puzzle swap and mine is no where near as nice as yours!

This is gorgeous. Gotta love that Gesso. I had no idea you could make a bead like that. I love the transparency of it.

Well now that is pretty darn shhhhnazzzyyy! And you keep saying you aren't crafty. Mind if I CASE the logic on this one for the regional 3-D swap? Wasn't going to do a 3-D but this just might have changed my mind. Need to check the toy room for old puzzles tonight.
