Flourished Christmas

Can I just say "I LOVE THIS SET!!!"?? This image is from the Flourished Christmas set from Flourishes. I saw many cards with this image and coveted it. I tried to hold out, and when I couldn't any longer, I found it was sold out. DANG!! I stalked their web site until it came back in stock. I ordered it before they even updated their blog, and am I glad I did!

This is the prettiest reindeer. Doesn't he look like he's prancing? The colors on this photo look awful. Lighting in my house stinks and it's night, so I didn't have much choice. I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow and swap it out. I used Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabe, and Sahara Sand from SU! I used a corner punch I got from M's to make the sweet little corner things. I also used Purely Pomegranate ribbon from SU!, that delicious stuff that was in their winter mini. Gorgeous ribbon. I have to buy more before it goes away!!

I've been doing more than just this card. I have another Christmas card I made, but haven't put together yet, and I've been working on another board book for my round robin, this one on flower gardens, and it's challenging. I love flowers, but I'm not a "flowery" person.

Halloween came and went without a peep. My heart just wasn't in it. Now we're heading for Thanksgiving (or as some of us indians like to call it "Thanks-taking"), and since we probably won't have much company for the first time in 15 years, I'm not sure what we're going to do. We usually have the whole family over - mine and my husband's. We make a couple of turkeys and stuffing and mashed potatoes and home made cranberry sauce, and gravy and sweet potatoes. You get the picture, don't you? YUM!! But my mom is going to my brother's this year (he deserves to enjoy her company at least one Thanksgiving out of 15, right?) and my mother in law is in the hospital. I have a feeling we'll be alone. Sigh...

He is a gorgeous reindeer. Pomegranite has to be my favourite SU colour, and we don't even have it down here! well, not technically! You have used yummy colours for this card! I really do have to get a wiggle on with my Christmas cards!
