The problem with glue

Okay, there is a darn good reason not to use glue. It takes a long time to dry, and by the time it's dry enough for you to realize that the part didn't turn out the way you liked, you have to start over and the project takes days instead of hours. My project still isn't done. I'm waiting for yet another iteration with glue drying. It's maddening. But I think in the end, it will be worth the hassle. So far, so good.

I finished ATCs for a swap I'm in. Here are two of them. I took them at an angle so you could see some of the details. They both have a color wash background, though one used a different ink (I think the one on the left was chalk inks). The stamp is a clear stamp from Autumn Leaves (?) that Michele Kovack sent me. There are three flowers cut out and popped up on top of each other. The background is a TAC stamp, embossed in silver. I punched the corners, added twine, and some pretty little bling in the center, and voila. Simple, but very shimmery and pretty. You can see the shimmer very well in the photo on the right.

Oh, and I stamped those flowers on Basic Grey Periphery. Love that paper to death. I just love it.

I'm getting sick. Sore throat, stuffy head. Yikes, I don't have time to be sick. Maybe it will go away soon. It probably would help if I'd go to bed, but I want to go visit the sisters, and I have to add the rest of them to my SBS blog roll. Maybe tomorrow.

Beautiful ATC's! Hope you get to feel better soon! Take some vitamin C and get some rest, EVEN if it gets in the was of stamping! I know that's hard...lol. Sending well wishes.

Love what you did with the ATC's. I'm crossing my fingers that you aren't getting sick! Vitamin C and some AirBourne will do the trick! Wow, I just made a rhyme! LOL

You did a great job on the ATCs. I don't ever use glue anymore. It seems to take forever to dry!

These are very cute. I got the cold bug, too. Every time I steal candy from my girls' halloween stash, it makes my throat worse. arghgh.

Soooooo stunning! I love the embossing and all the movement. How did you get such gorgeous texture?

I hear ya about glue. I use crystal effects cause you only need a little and it has such a fast drying time. If you get any extra anywhere it is shiny but I'm like you and have more supplies than i know what to do with so I just put matte medium over it. ;0) Mel Get well soon! Hugs
