I can't get a good picture of my first ATC (the one for the swap), so I thought I'd upload my second ATC. This one is for an online class I'm taking using Bernie Berlin's book Artist Trading Card Workshop. Fantastic book. This ATC is made with a technique that requires watercolors and baby wipes. I used reds and yellows. It looked like clouds to me, fiery clouds. So I outlined those "clouds" in silver, added a picture of a woman who has her eyes closed like she is in paradise somewhere, a little silver hairy yarn on the outside, and the sentiment "Every cloud has a silver lining".
It's primitive and way outside my comfort zone - not my normal color choices, not like me to use clip art (royalty free, so I didn't step on any toes), and certainly not like me to freehand any part of my art. So this is new to me. Don't be too rough on me 'cuz I have another dozen ATCs I have to upload as part of the class, and I feel very iffy about my ability to create these things! Oh, and the weird color around the picture is the paper I put behind it so my stupid camera would focus. It's been a pain in the neck for a few weeks now. I seriously am considering buying a new one because this one isn't doing what it used to! Yeah, that's it. It's the camera! :o)

I like the reds in the background. I am going to have to look up the baby wipe watercolour thing... gives an interesting effect :)
