The final product

This is a close up of the dried tar gel goo. It turned out a perfect red color. If you click to make it larger, you can see the texture. The ripples in the color are from the wax paper wrinkling. If you don't want ripples, use something that won't wrinkle - a nonstick craft sheet, nonstick Reynolds Wrap. There are some bubbles in it, but that won't bother me a bit. I think not stirring so vigorously and not holding it up to pour would help with that, but I held the bowl up so far so I could get a picture of it coming out. For some reason, I was thinking that would help capture the consistency of this stuff. I think the other marks are from the Opalite ink - they are not mars on the surface. They are definitely part of the coloration.

I still think this stuff is really cool. I was asked if this could be poured into molds. I'm off to give that a try. I hadn't thought of it, so thank you, Aimee, for the idea!!

I've never heard of this. You have really intrigued me. BTW what can you do with it? I'm so new to this that I don't think I've ever seen it used before. Please share ;)
